Job Description
1. Compensation & Benefits
• Partner with Global Compensation & Benefits team to implement global initiatives in compensation, incentives, stock options, employee Recognition and localize at the country level
• Collaborate with Head of HR and Japan HQ + Field Field Leadership Team on optimally leveraging investments in compensation, benefits, and award programs to meet business goals.
• Collaborate with HR Generalist team to plan and implement field-facing programs to meet business goals
• Ensure competitiveness and equity in Compensation & Benefits programs internally and externally in the market to support global compensation philosophy; develop and maintain salary structure
• Lead and manage annual reward process; define goals/projects owners and direct the team
• Provide guidance and experise to people managers on compensation philosophy and management
2. Social Security / Benefits / Payroll Support
• Manage payroll vendor and monitor outsourced services (day-to day assistance) to effectively deliver services to store management
• Ensure that applicable social security / benefits programs are provided to eligible employees and meet legal requirements
• Ensure monthly payments and special payments (annual/quarterly/monthly incentives) are calculated and processed in compliance with policies/programs; ensure information is securely maintained for all employees
• Monitor to continuously streamline relevant business processes
3. HR Operations
• Manage Oracle PeopleSoft HRMS functions as system owner; ensure proper administration by users (HR / business partners / field organization) and integrity of employee data
• Maintain information security for employee HR data and monitor the streamlining of processes
• Collaborate with IT and vendors in identifying issues and implementing solutions to enhance quality of the sytem
• Partner with Store Operations and IT to ensure HRMS training is provided to store management
• Provide management team with analytical information and insight to facilitate business decisions
• Oversee and support the execution of ongoing people processes (i.e. annual rewards, incentive programs, surveys, payroll) and other critical operational processes
• Analyze HR metrics (turnover, employee relations diversity, etc.) to identify business opportunities and partner with Head of HR to develop and implement operational solutions
• Assess and identify “organizational health” issues and proactively address opportunity areas to management team (exit survey information, turn-over rate, focus groups)

• 5 years + HR Experience
• Broad and deep knowledge of HR practices including Compensation & Benefits, Systems (HRIS), Employee Relations and Compliance
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both Japanese and English)
• Ability to influence and coach others with appropriate self-confidence and presence
• Ability to work collaroratively with business partners across functions
• Manage several projects and perform additional duties as necessary that support the HR team
• Manage budget and resources with excellent prioritization skills
• Strong ability to develop/communicate persuasive point of view with higher management/leadership
• Management experience preferred but not essential
