Digital Manager at Global Animal Health Maker (Companion animal)

Job Description

Direct and manage CA (companion animal) digital business expansion from both Marketing and Sales through improving customer experience and business impact in line with company strategy and mission

Key Job Accountabilities

 Develop strategy / roadmap for digital activities which integrates and expands Marketing and Sales impact via Web, SNS, EC and other digital touchpoints in line with company strategy
 Achieve Internal stakeholder alignment and engagement on the defined roadmap and drive success based on defined KPIs
 Research the external environment and competition continuously to understand how emerging new technology trends are impacting customer experience among vets, vet nurses, wholesalers/distributors and pet owners
 Drive digital innovation offering to market, in line with Global/Regional strategy
 Drive EC business discussion/negotiation with EC business partners
 Continuously enhance platform capabilities for driving improved customer engagement and coordinate with global business and platform teams for capability enhancement & implementation
 Work collaboratively across functions and departments to drive ongoing success sharing best practices on achieved customer engagement wins
 Work across the team on driving analytics needed to continuously improve performance of the defined channels and drive follow up actions with respective functions
 Work with IT team and 3rd parties, as needed, to define and monitor change requests to drive improved customer engagement on our channels
 Work on creation and rollout of appropriate digital training programs to drive understanding and improving capabilities across functions
 Align the broader organization and multiple functions on customer experience metrics and drive a team shared vision for digital go to market mindset

Key requirements
 Platform development and project management on Website / SNS service implementation, working with agile IT methodologies, experience with writing user stories
 Proven experience in digital channel strategy planning and execution within Japan having shown clear business impact in terms of customer acquisition, retention and experience improvement on digital channels
 Proven experience in EC business strategy planning and execution within Japan, with up-to-date knowledge of EC trend and future perspective
 Experience working with a marketing automation platform, google or adobe analytics and personalization engines
 Experience in good understanding of stakesholders’ insights and behavior changes for planning and executing the digital activities
 Experience in content tagging and digital asset management
 Good experience in business negotiation with EC business partners
 Working in a cross-functional team environment together with IT and business, experience in collaborating with and managing IT resources
 Technical expertise in CMS systems and HTML, JavaScript and CSS programming
 Industry experience: Experience in fast moving consumer goods, banking/telecommunications, B2B with some knowledge of healthcare and pharma industry recommended but is optional
 At least 5 years of relevant work experience in digital domain

 Deep expertise in up-to-date digital stream in Japan and Global
 Excels in database management, reporting and analytics
 Strong understanding in customer/consumer insights and behaviors including but not limited to digital touch points, and good expertise actions/counter-actions development based on such customer/consumer analysis
 Strong understanding of omni-channel and digital marketing at both strategic and executional levels
 Deep expertise on CMS, SEO, marketing automation, analytics and personalization engines and the role of that ecosystem in driving customer engagement
 Strong project management skills including ability to lead in Matrix teams and 3rd party / vendors while being able to work independently when needed
 Ability to shape a digital business vision and drive clear business impact with KPIs
 Excellent communication skills in Japanese and English (written and verbal) and ability to interact with all levels within the organization. TOEIC score of 800 and above
 Strong team player with mindset of curiosity and learning agility, ability to work across cultures and bring outside-in thinking based on evolving market landscape

 Minimum university graduate
 MBA preferable
