Our client is a global asset management company.

The Role:
As Head of Marketing for Japan and Korea, the incumbent will have a geographical coverage of the two countries and will be based in Tokyo. This position reports to the A-Pac Head of Marketing. is to provide oversight and day-to-day direction for marketing activities and deliver overall strategic marketing leadership. Responisbilities include:
-        Drive the development of marketing plans and strategies at a country and channel level  
-        Manage the full marketing mix and ensure respective promotional budgets are fully maximised  
-        Initiate/coordinate campaigns in tandem with Business Development/ Sales teams  
-        Lead the application of investment marketing and thought leadership content to various properties (web, collateral, e-mails, videos, etc.)  
-        Select and manage local agencies as necessary for PR, advertising and media buying

Required Skills and Experience:
-        Senior-level marketing management experience of 10 to 15 years in the region, in asset management and financial services; event planning experience is critical
-        Sound understanding of investment products and the asset management industry
-        University Graduate in Communications/Media, Marketing, Economics, Finance or equivalent
-        Strong command and communication skill (both verbal and written) in English
-        An ability to work comfortably across two jurisdictions (Japan and Korea)
-        A broad understanding of marketing disciplines ranging from advertising, PR, digital, events management, content marketing and marketing automation to research and data analytics
-        A commercial mindset with a deep understanding of institutional investor and 3rd party distributor needs
-        Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a proven ability to lead, collaborate, drive results and operate effectively in a global organization
