Job Description

This position is key to our Japan business. We are looking for a strong Factory Director with strong experience in GMP manufacturing to manage our Kanto site.


- Manage all aspects of manufacturing, packing and logistic operation in alignment with the global & regional manufacturing strategy and supply chain strategies to deliver the best total quality for consumer & customer, customer service, efficiency and cost while delivering the highest safety standard, quality and compliance standards.
- Directly responsible for factory operations to build the transformational capabilities, self-directed team and culture development. Plays key strategic role in overall site leadership team with the accountability to lead team members, colleagues, and strategic partners in implementing change to drive factory performance.
- Bridge the global, regional and multi-functions to integrate the different needs/priorities into factory operations to deliver total best value for the business including innovation, engineering, quality, planning and digitization transformation etc.




- Ensure operational and manufacturing high standards for safety, quality, cost, innovation delivery, customer service is fully met.
- Develop and drive high performance organization cultural transformation, capabilities development in manufacturing operations via daily management work process, PDCA and brand/consumer delight culture;
- Direct implementation and execution of the continuous improvement process to achieve Targets in production, quality, schedule, GMP compliance and other related manufacturing matters.
- Lead the factory lead team effectively to create site vision/mission and site master plan and implementation strategy
- Lead the factory of future development and road map implementation



- Direct and manage all factory operation functions under their responsibility in accordance with established corporate & local management policies, procedures and objectives.
- Provide general and specific direction to direct reports in order to meet short- and long-term business goals.
- Build, develop and manage an operations team capable of executing operations strategies, tactics and annual plans.
- Develop and manage direct reports Performance Development Plans that are in support of the business strategy and the individual’s continued growth.
- Develop and implement the roadmap of self-directed team to deliver the highest business and organization performance



- To collaborate with internal relevant divisions and engineering organization delivers the innovation master plan to grow the business;
- To define needed delivery organization structure, capabilities and system on change management execution
- To create the innovation culture and Kaizen systems


- Role model safety standards, culture and champion for the zero safety incidents
- Role model compliance and raise the bar on daily standard management
- Role model perfect quality culture through technical innovation, people capabilities and system
- Role model the 5S standard every day in and day out



- Plays the inclusive role of multi-functional team as hub site lead
- Plays the roles of bridging region, global and share the common vision to deliver common business priorities
- Solve the conflict and tension effectively

Requirements

Requirement:

- 12+ years in a manufacturing management and operations experience and at least 3+ years at senior manufacturing management role
- Bachelor’s degree above required, engineering or technical background
- Proven strong leadership and large organization development capabilities (>300 members)
- Strong learning agility and operational excellence mastery (daily management work process, high performance organization)
- Change management capabilities and has led major organization transformation
- Multi-cultural, multi-functional and multi-regional team collaboration experience
- Language: English, Japanese is highly preferred
