Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities include;
■To build strong partnerships with Supply Chain and QA leaders across all QVC markets to identify, share and implement best practice / continuous improvements to the Supply Chain function.
■To develop end to end Supply Chain processes that are integrated with Operations, Merchants and Vendors to deliver best in class seamless Supply Chain functionality
■To ensure robust operational plans are produced and executed to achieve targeted external / internal services
■Monitor and control budget expenditure
■Developing vendor compliance strategy in conjunction with the Global Vendor Compliance manager, inclusive of vendor education
■Keeping abreast of regulatory requirements ensuring full compliance
■To partner with the Global QA&SC Standards team to identify, implement and comply with the optimal quality standards.
■Promote positive and productive relationships with both Operations and Merchants Teams ensuring Supply Chain service and activities are aligned with Operational and Commercial KPI’s
■To partner with the Global Vendor Compliance team to develop and deliver an integrated strategy with a strong focus on educating our vendor partners to achieve the required operational performance
■Ensure robust, efficient and effective inbound domestic and international transportation networks are in place with a focus on developing the JIT process.
■To ensure effective controls are in place for PO creation (where applicable), management and tracking in to the business.
■To ensure compliance with all Customs & Excise policies / procedures and all applicable legislation.
■To recruit, develop, motivate and coach Supply Chain team employees in order to develop potential and to meet QVC’s strategic operational requirements.
■To communicate performance goals and quality standards to ensure staff understand their responsibility / contribution to the QVC vision, and values.
■Monitor and review the key performance indicators ensuring that timely and effective feedback is provided and appropriate action e.g. coaching, development, and recognition.
■To ensure direct reports manage and support their direct reports to achieve individual performance targets through coaching and development.
■To effectively communicate to all team members business related information necessary to enable them to fulfill their duties and responsibilities.
■To build a strong knowledge of Supply Chain activities both internally and externally, to formalize and execute short to medium term strategy plans to promote best practice and continuous improvements that will optimize the quality of service and efficiency provided.
■To foster a strong culture of continuous improvement across the Supply Chain function
■To be accountable for the department’s full compliance with all Health & Safety regulations and ensuring that company standards are adhered to at all times.
■Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills in addition to the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
■Excellent communication skills both verbal and written in Japanese and English.
■Significant experience in a leadership role within FMCG domestic and international Inbound logistics environment.
■Proven management and planning skills required to direct team and influence others to deliver results and complete projects within established time frames.
■Proven record in operational management utilizing key performance indicators.
■Proven numerical and literacy skills.
■Educated to MCIPS or similar Supply Chain qualification
