Job DescriptionSupport Engineer Audio Visual and Video Conference
As part of the UC infrastructure team you will be in charge of providing first and second line support for VIP video conference, as well as assisting our IT partner companies and global IT helpdesk with first line support and training including ‘how to’ documentation and being their escalation point for second line support.
You will personally support Executives and other Senior Staff with their conference needs, and support the conference in our VIP conference rooms and other critical VIP systems including regular global meetings broadcast from Tokyo to all global staff.

Provide customer support service for all video conference applications, conference room computers, screens, phones, enterprise phone system, microphones, video cameras and other peripheral devices.
Provide advice on new collaboration capabilities and advancement of current technology
Assist in strategizing virtual workplace advancement
Provide mentoring, support and training to junior support members
Act as point of escalation for level 2 audio/video support requests
Advise on purchases of audio/video technology items
Provide individual or small-group training on equipment use and applications
Work with the Global IT team to define and continually update hardware and software standards
Liaise with partner audio/video vendor on support and solutions
Assist with managing and maintaining audio/video equipment
Assist with audio/video equipment setup and troubleshooting for C-Level Meetings/Events
Produce concise and detailed technical documentation
2-3 years of related experience in the operation of audiovisual equipment/systems
Comprehensive knowledge of audiovisual equipment, including projection technologies, laptop and desktop computers (PC, MAC & Tablets) and digital recording/conversion experience in audio (wireless and fixed) systems
Working knowledge of video/audio conferencing (Polycom, Cisco), and virtual meeting technology (Zoom, WebEx, Go-To-Meeting, Skype for Business) setup and support.
(not essential) Understanding of audiovisual system coding (any of the following: AMX, Crestron, Clear One), and working knowledge of audiovisual signal flows including capability, limits and linkages.
Knowledgeable of digital signage systems, configurations and applications
Knowledgeable in Cisco CUCM, Cisco VCS services and Cisco Jabber, MS Teams, but not essential
Experience installing and configuring VC systems: Polycom/Cisco/ video conference unit, etc.
Experience installing and configuring control systems: AMX / Crestron Extron, etc.
Can recommend the purchase of audiovisual equipment, supplies and of rental audiovisual related equipment. Maintains proficiency in all state-of-the-art audiovisual systems, attending appropriate local conferences and exhibits to keep abreast with the expanding technology
Must be reliable and flexible with scheduling and on-call support
Demonstrates analytical, interpersonal, oral and written communication, planning, and organizational skills
Comfortable working for the C-Level meeting support
