Purpose of Accounting is to ensure compliance with the statutory and regulatory accounting requirements (e.g. IFRS, JGAAP, Tax) applicable to VGJ and to provide stakeholders (e.g. local/ Group management, authorities concerned etc.) with accurate and unqualified Financial Statements of VGJ.

Accounting Manager's purpose is to lead and manage the accounting department by appropriate resource allocation, providing a clear direction, setting targets and monitoring progress, to report accurate financial figures and escalate issues/risks to top management in a timely manner and to support management of business units to achieve the above purpose.

- Accounting related policy implementation of both HQ driven and local policies with the reflection of local laws and regulations such as Company Act., JGAAP, laws relevant to taxes, RFA regulation, Purchasing regulation etc.
- Accurate and timely management of all financial transactions every month
- Check and approve invoices and payment requests (RFP)
- Internal/external audit
- Monitor accounts payables and receivables
- Report to local top management and group management
- Management of accounting risk, accounting dept. organization, accounting books and evidences, accounting dept. budget etc.

- Net Liquidity
- Overdue AP/AR
- Inaccurate postings
- Audit findings
- Amount of additional tax implication
- Results of department's ES survey score
- Internal audit findings (ISO and Information Security-related)

- BA or equivalent
- Native Japanese and Business English (speaking skill for presentation/report is mandatory)
- 3-5 yrs of overall accounting experience in Japan, including IFRS
- people management experience
- Microsoft office skill (Excel: ability to create graph)
