The Technology Innovation Group (TIG) designs and develops a wide range of innovative solutions for business units across the business. Examples include administrative sites to manage free seating and customer reservations, online news portals, internal video services, chat bot technologies, data science solutions, and more. TIG places focus on quick value delivery through agile development practices, utilizing new technology applied in novel ways.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, test, document, and support web-based applications
Work directly with end users on requirement gathering and design
Perform R&D, ideation, and POC development
3+ years web application development experience (Angular/Java/Spring Boot/HTML/CSS)
Ability to use SQL and design/work with databases such as MySQL
Experience with common build/development tools such as Git, Maven, Jira, and Confluence
Business level English and conversational Japanese language ability
Proactiveness, with the ability to learn and work both independently and within small teams
Preferred
Experience with other front-end frameworks and technologies such as React and Vue
Programming experience in other languages including Python and C#
Experience with containers and setting up/using CI/CD pipelines (Docker, Jenkins, etc.)
Spoken and written fluency in English and Japanese
