Job Description
This position is responsible for ensuring the company’s HR practices comply with all relevant labor laws, employment standards, and social insurance regulations. This role plays a key part in minimizing legal risks and supporting a compliant, ethical HR environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Compliance Oversight: Ensure adherence to Japanese labor laws, employment regulations, and social insurance requirements across HR operations.
- Policy Updates: Monitor changes in domestic and international labor laws and update internal HR policies and procedures accordingly.
- Policy Development: Draft, review, and improve HR policies and employee guidelines to ensure legal compliance.
- Audit & Risk Management: Conduct internal audits, identify potential legal risks, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Document Review: Draft and review legal HR documents such as employment contracts, termination agreements, and other compliance-related documents.
- External Audit Support: Coordinate with labor offices and other regulatory agencies during inspections and audits.
Requirements
- Business-level proficiency in Japanese and English
- Strong knowledge of Japanese labor law, social insurance, and tax regulations
- Experience in developing and managing HR policies and procedures
