Job Description

Knowledge of Agency Life/Clients/Technology
 Strong industry and technology knowledge related to client accounts
 Strong understanding of client’s business objectives and how they tie back into communications goals
 Demonstrate understanding of Agency-wide levels of profitability, new business, quality of account service and employee development

Project and Account Management
 Day to day management of all components of multiple-client PR programs with speed, accuracy and an eye on attaining program metrics
 Ability to effectively manage project budget, progress, working timeline and deliver results across multiple projects
 Oversee projects from start to finish, manage client expectations along the way, plan for contingency, manage team resourcing and provide strategic guidance for clients and team members.

Financial/Admin
 Manage the finances of accounts including contracts, deliverables tracking, invoicing, and revenue reporting.
 Develop project quotations that make financial sense for the Agency, and discuss with supervisor on justification of the SOW and fee proposed
 Have an overview and understanding of how account team members are spending their time, and address resource allocation issues, overservicing / underservicing and inefficiency that is reflective of the contracted SOW and budget

People and Team Management
 Effectively manage and work with junior staff, from interns to ACs, while providing counsel and guidance on client work and projects
 Spend time to coach and provide feedback to junior staff on regular basis to help with their personal and professional development
 Work collaboratively and effectively with staff across different levels within the organization as well as with those around the region

Client Management Skills/Consulting
 Solve problems as issues surface
 Demonstrate assertiveness and push-back ability, as required
 Demonstrate ability to grow existing accounts / upsell clients
 Develop competitive analysis and knowledge of the broader industry
 Demonstrate ability to counsel clients’ executive management team on communications issues and strategies
 Demonstrate ability to set and exceed client expectations as a provider of strategic counsel

IMC/Digital
 Have a good understanding about digital media channels and develop knowledge and insights on how to incorporate conventional media with social media
 Use social media channels personally and learn how they are evolving on an on-going basis
 An integrated marketing mindset is an expected component of the agency’s strategic thinking, communications plans, and client engagement
 Ability to counsel client on content marketing strategies and integrate a paid, owned, earned thinking across campaign planning and new business proposals

Media/Analyst Relations
 Possess strong network and relationship of key media and analyst contact
 Understanding of how new media, new channels and new media verticals work
 Ability to develop creative story angles, pitch and land stories independently
 Provide guidance and input to junior team members on media relations management, creative pitch angles, and securing media interviews
 Demonstrate industry knowledge and riding on hot topics to secure news-jacking and commentary opportunities for clients
 Understanding of how to work with media on advertorial opportunities, content partnerships, video projects, etc.

Writing/Editing/Planning
 Demonstrate superior writing skills in both English and Chinese with minimal editing from supervisor (including press releases, bylines, commentaries, briefing books, and other forms of editorial)
 Create and deliver presentations and speeches for client’s senior executives with minimal supervision and revision from supervisor
 Develop comprehensive comm plans and proposals for existing clients that meet their campaign and communication objectives
 Ability to craft social media content and work with design team on developing visual assets (i.e. LinkedIn thought leadership posts, CTA event posts, quote cards, etc.)

HA Services
 Actively refer candidates to ensure high-quality recruiting program
 Participate in “lunch bucket” presentations and internal workshops
 Actively take part in HA internal initiatives such as HA Moment, HA Happy Hour, and other special occasions
 Become a key resource of satellite and global offices, and coach account executives and client teams to effectively leverage the network
 Participate in HA committees to support company initiatives (e.g. hiring, HA moments, marketing, etc.)

Requirements

8+ years of experience in public relations
Experience in consultation and program proposals at a PR agency
Experience in PR work in the IT technology field
Team management experience
Business level English
* TOEIC test score of 800 or above (This is just a guideline)
