Job Description
This position will report directly to the Head of People APAC, based in Singapore with a dotted reporting line to the local Country Head.
HR Responsibilities:
Manage employee onboarding and offboarding processes, providing necessary support to new and existing employees throughout.
Develop and implement HR infrastructure including employee handbooks and compliant people practices.
Offer guidance to management and support employees with workplace issues and concerns.
Handles transactional HR duties such as benefits enrollment, payroll management, HRIS maintenance and benefits/payroll reconciliation with the finance team.
Coordinate recruitment activities and oversee internship program.
Ensure compliance with regulatory and legal requirements during monthly payroll processing.
Drive the execution of corporate initiatives and programs including employee engagement, performance management, talent development including DE&I.
Lead or assist in both global and regional people-related projects and initiatives.
Executive Support – Prepare for and assist in Board of Directors’ meeting in Japan
Process Improvement – Identify opportunities to streamline operations and boost productivity through process enhancements.
Requirements
Solid HR experience especially in Japanese labor law, regulations, and payroll
Strong HR leader who can set HR direction and organizational skills.
Good communication in both Japanese and English
